Friday, Aug 4th: 4-5:45pm: Fear-Of-Bugs Friendly Honey Bees and Pollinators class.
Ages: 3+ (Parents free with student, infants welcome with parent) Tickets must be purchased in advance. Limited spots. Location: Mueller Honey Bee - 5867 Manchester Rd New Franklin, OH 44319
Students will:
See the inside of a honey bee hive behind a screened tent
Identify the difference between a Queen, Worker and Drone bee
Touch a non-stinging male honey bee
Hunt for bugs with provided nets
Observe and compare bug catches
Look for pollinator bird species (please bring binoculars if you have them - some will be available to share)
Make a pollinator friendly craft
Enjoy a light pollinator-made fresh fruit snack (please inform us of any allergies)
Class is geared toward K-4th grade but ages 3+ welcome.
This class is outside only - boots recommended. Please arrive 5 minutes early - we begin promptly on time!
Closed shoes recommended. Please reach out if alright to peanuts, as it's part of our craft.
Paid admission needed per student 3+. Parents are free with their child. No refunds. Tickets are transferable.
